Early indicators reveal that Apple’s new Match service for iCloud / iTunes (which requires an annual subscription of $25) will only be available to users inside of the US. This could be so Apple can beta test the service, or it could be due to legal implications. Whatever the reason, we know Apple have spent a serious amount of cash with record labels ensuring deals are secured. The pessimist within us can’t help but wonder if this service might end up being similar to Google Voice in so far as never making it beyond those US shores. Here’s hoping not!

Are you in the US? Do you have access to Match yet? If so, we’d love to hear from you and get details on how you’re finding the service.

  • When I try to enable Automatic Downloads in Settings I can only so for Apps, not Music or Books… not for the UK yet?

  • Rob

I haven’t tried the music or books yet, but I have seen apps drop on to other devices and waiting.

Will give it a go for you in a few and see how I get on.

  • Heck yeah for their only chasing safety in the collage!
