You’re all excited about iOS 5, you’ve had your fill of blog posts, articles, pictures and videos on Apple’s site; now you want to get a copy and aren’t sure how you can go about it?

Unless you are a developer you can’t (legally) get a copy of the new firmware for your iDevice. It’s only in beta stage 1 (at the time of writing) and isn’t due to be final release until autumn/fall.

Of course, if you are on the developer programme, simply head over the dev centre, pop in your credentials, agree to the new terms and conditions then download / install iOS 5 as you desire.

If you aren’t on the dev programme and want to be, then Apple will gladly take your dollars and welcome you to the programme.
