A recent nugget of delight comes in the form of FacebookThis. Quite simply, once install, it adds the ability to send a photo straight to Facebook from your camera roll. It’s free and available to download from the BigBoss repo, which is, by default, installed on all jailbroken iDevices.
Apple rolled out an update to their hobby product the AppleTV just a few days ago. Thankfully this can still be jailbroken. The instructions within our “How To: Jailbreak AppleTV 2G 5.0.1 (5.1.1) with Seas0nPass (Untethered)” post still apply since the Seas0nPass tool has been updated to work with it.
We’ve already shown how you can jailbreak your iOS 5.1.1 device using Absinthe 2.0 however there are other tools out there to achieve the same thing. Today we’re going to take a look at Sn0wBreeze, a Windows only jailbreaking application.
There are loads of top lists you can thumb through for things you can install upon your jailbroken phone but most of them are invariably made up of some pretty huge applications which fundamentally change the structure of your devices. I decided to take a holiday to France with my family and the day we left I was browsing Twitter in the ferry terminal when, to my delight, I saw a tweet by @pod2g saying he’d finally managed to get the untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak completed. Not long after Absinthe 2.0 became available to download. This is fabulous news and the toolset has already been used in excess of a million times to jailbreak the various iOS devices. Permission is granted for you to carry out a little happy dance before sitting down and carrying out the merry business of carrying out an untethered jailbreak of your cherished device using the Absinthe tool on Mac / Windows or Linux.
After sticking with the same look since our inception Sam and I took the decision to start to rework the design of our site. The Seas0nPass application can be run on either a Mac of a PC and is completely free of charge.
Apple released iOS 5.1.1 on the 7th May. As always, iTunes tends to get a tempramental when it comes to grabbing firmware updates therefore you may well find it easier to download directly from Apple’s servers using the listed links.
