It was interesting to see, over the weekend, that JailbreakMe v3 is being widely adopted. Comex tweeted to highlight that the 2 million devices jailbroken milestone had been achieved. A fantastic feat given just a few days have passed since the release of his userland jailbreak.

This accounts for about 1% of jailbreak community – we can’t help but wonder how many of that 1% were jailbreak virgins ahead of their installation. Any increase to numbers is always a good thing. If you haven’t jailbroken your device yet, it really is simple. Just head over to JailbreakMe.com on your iOS device and tap the FREE button. If you want a reassuring hand with the steps involved, we’ve a guide to help you through.

If you wish to show your gratitude to Comex for the jailbreak, there’s a way you can make a donation on the JailbreakMe site.

Finally, if you’ve jailbroken an iPad and are looking for some recommendations for what to install, we can wholly recommend the following article over at iPhoneDownloadBlog, 38 Jailbreak Apps every iPad user should have.
