Have you ripped your CDs or DVDs to your Mac using Toast and haven’t currently got access to a Mac (or Toast) in order to extract the data or burn the image files but do have access to a Windows PC? Thankfully you should be able to still open and use those images files with the .toast file extension.

  • Copy the .toast file to your PC
  • Rename the file extension to .bin
  • Open the file in a third party image management tool like UltraISO or PowerISO
  • Extract to your hard drive or burn to CD/DVD

Theoretically you should be able to do the reverse too, i.e. rename a .bin file to .toast and open it on your Mac.
