How to: Install XBMC on iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch

The rather excellent XBMC media centre has been ported to the iOS platform. We’ve already talked about how to install XBMC on an AppleTV, so without further ado, let’s get that wonderful software on your iPhone, iPad and / or iPod Touch!

You’re going to need to jailbreak your device first of all. If you’ve an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2 then follow our How to Jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 with Absinthe guide, otherwise follow our guide for jailbreaking those earlier model devices.

Jailbroken? Excellent – let’s crack on:

• Open Cydia. Tap Manage > Sources > Edit and then add the following source http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/ios
• Allow the packages to be added from the source then search for and install XBMC-IOS
